Vidhana Saudha was built in the year 1956 with the construction work begain in 1952 and took 4 long years to complete it. The cost of construction at that time was just 17.5 million rupees.
The Credit for the constuction of vidhana soudha goes to Late Kengal Hanumanthaiah.
It is Considered to be the "Heart Of Bangalore City" and as an IDOL to entire Karnataka State.
